  The elders do have authority but ONLY UPON MEMBERS of their own church.

  Our document repudiates their churches' laws and authority over one single individual from one date forward.

  An answer to a letter from a JW.

  this is a reply i sent to a jw who sent me a letter "what is gods kingdom"?

  i didn`t want to come across to strong or as an apostate .i was pleasant b4 and after this piece .. you direct me to the watchtower magazine that announces jehovah`s kingdom to get the right answer`s to what god`s kingdom means.. i am somewhat familiar with what the new testament says about god`s kingdom and i cannot find in any scripture a specific mention of jehovah`s kingdom, not one scripture .

  those words jehovah`s kingdom do not appear in any bible i have seen including the nwt.. i have a few bibles .. but what i do find is that there are over 20 scriptures that explicitly state that followers of jesus christ, christians, are to be witnesses of jesus christ and his kingdom , the kingdom of jesus christ that is to rule for a thousand years .. the bible makes no mention of a jehovah`s kingdom.. the reason that there are over 40,000+ christian sects is because they all fall victim to relying on their own interpretations of what they consider this scripture or that scripture means and not accepting what the bible simply states.. and then i thanked her for her concern and gave her my e-mail address if she wants to contact me further .. criticsims / feedback welcome .. edit:.

  Jeff - If you have the document signed, attested, and dated at home -

  They aren't your elders, this isn't your church, maybe you're just there with your spouse, maybe you want to fade for a while, maybe you brought your mom...

  Why would a person not tell the elder he has no authority over you if the need arises?

  Jeff - you're not going to start a dust-up are you? after all our talk of peacefully and quietly...

  Constitutions give religions a lot of freedom, but their actual authority is limited to their congregation members only.

  We subject ourselves to that authoity by joining (traptizm) and 'voluntarily' remaining members.

  Jws' custom-built doctrine that assures that if you ever leave your family will be destroyed.

  We can't change their hateful holy doctrine so we have to be creative with our own Rights toFreedom of Religion.

  Religious Freedoms apply equally to churches and individuals . Churches can fabricate lies and teach as truth -

  We can draft a declaration of our own emancipation from those lies and repudiate their authority.

  NO cult teaches Human Rights or Religious Freedoms as pertaining to anyone but themselves .

  I think the individuals and associates thing relates to the push to give corporations the same rights as humans.

  As horrifying as that sounds it's sure to have WT lawyers complete attention $$$$ I just read something in, passing , don't really know anything.

  Ecclesiastical Authority-

  All committees are convened under WTs' directions and by elders' execution, so they are (as intended) expressions of ecclesiastic authority. They even form a committee (non-judicial) to react to 'Letters of Disassociation'.l

  We want to have exercised our right to Freedoms Conscience & Religion BEFORE they are aware.

  We have specifically invoked freedoms guaranteed under the Constitution.

  We did it peacefully, quietly, without disrupting their practices. (So peacefully they were unaware)

  We (Constitutionally) repudiated the authority of all church law and all elder committees.

  They have no authority over us from that point forward.

  Courts don't care at all about church law UNTIL it violates Constitutional law -then they must care.

  JWs have demanded their freedoms many times - and got them - access to your door, conscientious objectors, no blood, charity status, etc

  We don't need to demand our right to Religous Freedoms we need to exercise the rights we already have.

  Watchtower can and will ignore our declared right (to be Freedom from them).

  They will convene committees and announce names, as if we had not repudiated those very actions of authority.. They will do this as if we were still their dopey sheep well after the date we repudiated their law and authority.

  Each instance of applying their congregations' authority to a self-emancipated nonmember is an indicator of their contempt for the constitutional rights of others.

  It will come back to bite them

  From your years as an elder, what was the elders response to a letter of resignation? did it trigger a commitee?

  Was there an announcement? and was that announcement to complete/enact a disfellowshipping?
